Where Goethe strolled around - ILAB Pop Up Book Fair in Königstein/Taunus on UNESCO World Book and Copyright Day, 23 April 2015!

In the heart of the Rhein-Main area, close to Frankfurt, Mainz and Wiesbaden in the thickly wooded slopes of the "Taunus", where Goethe already strolled around,  you will find Königstein, hometown of Reiss & Sohn – Germany’s  important specialized auction house of rare and valuable books, manuscripts and maps.

Reiss & Sohn is very well known to booklovers and collectors all over the world for excellent items, catalogues and a very familiar and at once professional atmosphere.  Twice a year the company is holding auctions of rare books, manuscripts, antique maps and views. The next one will be held on April 28th and 29th, 2015, shortly after ILAB’s worldwide celebrations of UNESCO World Book and Copyright Day.

The staff of Reiss  & Sohn is looking forward to be a part of the ILAB Pop Up Fairs across the world on April 23rd, 2015.  They will "pop up" in the auction house together with two other colleagues from the area - Tresor am Römer, Buch- und Kunstantiquariat (Frankfurt) and C. Rinnelt, Antiquariat (Wiesbaden). Together the rare book dealers will welcome all who are interested in books, prints and manuscripts from 5 to 8 pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to browse the diversified sales proposals of the three antiquarian bookshops, to listen to Jazz music, to talk to like-minded people and, of course, all will be most welcome to participate in the worldwide fundraising campaign for the UNESCO literacy projects in South Sudan.
